    St. Pat's 24-Hour Race - St. Patrick's County Park - Red Barn The event begins at 8 am. For more information, visit St. Pat's 24 Hour on Facebook.

    Public Hayrides - Bendix Woods County Park - Playground Meet at the Playground. Hayrides are one of the best ways to enjoy the cool autumn air and fall colors. Make an afternoon of it - bring a picnic, take a hike and enjoy the park! Weather conditions permitting.

    Be Well - Ferrettie/Baugo Creek County Park We’ve been enjoying our “Be Well” talks and walks at Ferrettie-Baugo Creek County Park so much that we decided to extend them for a while longer! Meet at the Oak Tree Shelter at 10 am on Tuesday morning for our next one. A representative from the St. Joseph Co. Health Dept. will talk about different health and wellness topics each week and then take a walk and enjoy the fall weather. Dates are Oct. 22nd, 29th, and Nov. 12th, 19th, all at 10 am.     Science at Sunset: Formations of Fright - ND-LEEF Morrison Family Pavilion Adults Only Join Dr. David Flagel, Notre Dame Dept. of Biological Sciences to learn how the recolonization of the Great Lakes region by gray wolves appears to have altered the foraging behavior of white-tailed deer and coyotes. Light snacks will be provided. Bring Your Own Beverage (no glass containers, please.) Registration is required by October 18.

    Sandhill Cranes at Jasper-Pulaski - Bendix Woods County Park - Nature Center Travel to see the annual migration of the Sandhill Cranes! Bring a sack lunch for an evening dinner. Note: there is a small amount of walking and stair-climbing to the observation deck. Please dress for the weather and bring binoculars. Registration and payment are required by October 21.
