    Wild Wednesdays at the Playground - St. Patrick's County Park
    Families, come out and enjoy hands-on programs about some of the animals that call our parks home! - St. Patrick's County Park - Jaffe Shelter. Butterflies - Find out which butterflies share the park with us and investigate their eggs, caterpillars and chrysalises!

    Women Experience the Outdoors; Monarch Butterflies - Bendix Woods County Park
    Discover all aspects of monarchs through this indoor presentation, followed by a guided hike in the prairie. See live monarchs and learn about citizen science projects, including tagging. Light snacks will be served. Registration and payment are required by August 19.

    Archery Lesson - St. Patrick's County Park
    Ages 12 & up, accompanied by adult. Join a local archery instructor for archery lessons. Get hands-on experience with all the equipment and enjoy a personalized shooting lesson. Registration and payment are required by August 20.

    Orienteering Meet - St. Patrick's County Park
    In the international sport of orienteering you have a mission to find all the checkpoints on your map. Use your wits and powers of observation to find checkpoints in the woods. Register on-site, the morning of the event. For more information visit www.ocin.org.

    Indiana Master Naturalist Program of St. Joseph County Fall 2019
    The Indiana Master Naturalist (IMN) Program can provide you with many hands-on opportunities to learn about our Hoosier natural resources. It also provides a way for you to share that knowledge, along with your life experiences, through volunteer service to land trusts, soil and water conservation districts, state/local park and other natural areas.

    Bag a Bat and a Batnana Split!
    Discover the world of Indiana bats. Observe biologist mist-netting, identifying bat species and procedures biologist use to record information about bats. Enjoy a batnana split. Registration and payment required by September 3.

    Morning Prairie Walk for Adults
    Come explore the beauty of the autumn prairie. We'll look at blooming flowers, seedpods, and insect activity. Registration is required by September 9.

    Be Well
    We are partnering with the St. Joseph County Health Department to help you "Be Well!" Each week will feature a short session on a wellness topic, connect you to community resources, suggest apps to help you on your path to wellness and provide time for questions. Join us for a walk in the park (as far as you are comfortable.)

    Ringing of the Bell Ceremony
    Clay Fire Territory, Mishawaka, and South Bend Fire will commemorate the 18th anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001, at the Freedom Memorial.
